Guadalmina is one of the most elegant and well-established residential areas of Marbella. Only 10 minutes from Puerto Banús and Marbella centre, Guadalmina has two areas: Guadalmina Baja on the beach side and Guadalmina Alta inland. The former area is largely flat and dominated by low density residential areas with spacious luxury villas close to the Mediterranean Sea with avenues of large trees, and picturesque houses in a traditional Andalusian style.
There are also attractive white apartment buildings, of contemporary design and beautiful views of the 36-hole Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, which is an essential part of life in the area and is a common feature on both sides.
Guadalmina has excellent infrastructure with a shopping centre, a large number of restaurants, shops, banks, cafes and local businesses, with all the services and amenities one could wish for, as well as three international schools.
In Guadalmina Baja, the majority of its inhabitants are Spanish nationals whose families have lived in the area since their properties were built. There are also more modern-style villas built in recent years whose tastes are more suited to visitors looking for a second home near Marbella or a holiday home for the summer months.
