The search took about 3 or 4 years. We had obviously limited ourselves greatly by only looking in a very small, select area of El Born. Also, we wanted a light apartment which can be hard to find in Barcelona. It was a long, somewhat tiring journey but it was definitely worth it. As soon as we turned the key to open the door to our own apartment, it was worth it. We have absolutely loved staying there and are constantly trying to find the time between working in Australia to visit as much as we can. It has been one of the best decisions we have ever made. Liza from Lucas Fox helped us greatly and she was relentless in her search for our ideal apartment.

We bought our apartment through Liza Kjellberg from Lucas Fox. I cannot speak highly enough about Liza. She showed us numerous apartments over a number of years so we got to know her pretty well. Lisa was always patient, cheerful, professional and very knowledgeable. I never felt like I was being "pushed" into a sale like you can feel like with some agents. Once the sale was locked in, Liza was extremely helpful with access to the apartment, delivery of furniture etc. Liza is one of the few agents we trusted in Barcelona. I can't thank Tom Maidment from Lucas Fox Costa Brava enough for his help. Tom gave us such stunning support during our search for a home within the Costa Brava. In what was a long process of both discovery and education regarding the homes and the region we began to understand everything that was on offer. We did find a property that is perfect for us, Tom simplified the process by constantly refining our choices in consultation with us, He listened to understand our needs and both Katharina and I are forever grateful as we continue to be enriched by an ongoing relationship with both Tom and Lucas Fox.

We are very excited to move into our apartment we have rented with the exemplary help we had from Shirley Rhodes. Thanks to Shirley, finding a new home became a much easier task than we had imagined. I have been working with real estate agents in Asia for 25 years. When I decided to buy a family home in Spain, I did extensive research. Lucas Fox was far and away my first choice. Throughout the whole process, they were highly professional, resourceful and supportive. If all renting agents are like Pilar Rodriguez at Lucas Fox then you are in good hands. Pilar is very professional and a pleasure to be around, nothing was too much trouble. She was extremely helpful at all times, dealing with all aspects of my move to Barcelona, not just the rental but with all things related after I had moved in.
