Argentona, Barcelona: Location and surroundings of this property

Argentona is a small town on the Maresme Coast, near the city of Mataró. It is famous for its porcelain water jugs, for which it has a museum and an annual festival on the 4th of August. It became popular with wealthy Catalan families at the beginning of the 20th Century and many built their summer residences there, meaning it has wide, tree-lined streets with large, detached houses.

The C32 motorway gives the town quick access to Barcelona and the lovely beaches of Cabrera de Mar are only a 10 minute drive away. The nearest international schools are Hamelin in Alella (20 minutes) and SEK in La Garriga (35 minutes).
