Gran Vía is located within Valencia's Eixample and forms a triangle between Gran Vía del Marques del Turia and the Antic Regne and Jacinto Benavente Avenues.

Gran Via del Marqués del Turia is one of the most coveted residential areas in Valencia. The neighbourhood is known for its superb array of shops, restaurants and services, including several leading private schools.

With impressive, broad avenues characteristic of the Eixample (meaning extension, this part of the city was built on a grid layout typical of 19th Century urban planning), Gran Vía boasts many Modernista buildings with typically elaborate façades adorned with intricate balconies.

Plaza Canovas is a vibrant square known for some of the most typically Valencian bars and nightclubs, with neighbouring streets Calle Serranos and towards Avenida del Reino de Valencia attracting revellers. There is a trendy and cosmopolitan selection of lounge bars on Calle Salamanca. The area is popular with local people of all ages and boasts a fantastic, buzzing atmosphere.

The area also connects with the city's main green area, the Turia Gardens, a fully landscaped, green stretch of parkland that meanders through the city centre for 9km. Set within the dried riverbed of the former Turia River, it takes around 45 minutes to stroll its length and with many cycling routes, modern sports facilities and picnic spots, the park is hugely popular and is a much loved lush oasis in the heart of Valencia.
