Capdelláis a little village within the municipality of Calvià in south-west Mallorca, connected to the town by a 3 kilometre road as well as to Puigpunyent, Andratx and Peguera. Driving along these picturesque mountain roads is an absolute pleasure as the scenery is spectacular.

The first thing visitors to Capdellá notice is the imposing Puig de Galatzó which towers over the countryside at 1027 metres. The 1000 inhabitants of Capdella, including some foreigners, enjoy their peaceful way of life and strive to maintain it, although they also welcome visitors who come to try the exquisite giant prawns at the Bar Nou, the town's main meeting point and restaurant specializing in Mallorca cuisine.

The centre of the village is very small and on the outskirts stand some impressive country estates and manor houses, one of which belonged to Ramon Burgues-Safortesa I Fuster, a count and one of the most influential Mallorcans of the XVII century. In July this tiny villages come to life with the annual celebration for the Verge del Carme.
