Charity Gala Dinner: ‘We remember those who cannot’
Last Friday 22nd March, Rotary Club Barcelona Pedralbes organised a large charity gala dinner at the prestigious Real Club de Polo Barcelona, where Lucas Fox had the great pleasure of being the official sponsor.
Under the slogan “We remember those who cannot”, last Friday 22nd March, Rotary Club Barcelona Pedralbes organised a large charity gala dinner at the prestigious Real Club de Polo Barcelona, where Lucas Fox had the great pleasure of being official sponsor. This gala was held with the aim of raising money for the Pascual Maragall Foundation, set up to raise awareness for and promote research of Alzheimer’s disease.
More than 130 people came together to contribute to the cause. Among those attending were leading figures from the political, business and sports worlds such as Xavier Trias, José Montilla, Maria Luz Guilarte, Blanca Navarro, Roger Esteller Juyol and Lluís Martínez Sistach.
Lionel Messi donated a signed shirt. Thanks to this, an impressive amount of money was raised in the auction, which, along with the sale of the tickets and the donations, amounted to more than €13,000.
In addition, we had the support of two renowned artists, José Luis Fuentetaja and Antoni Vives Fierro, thanks to their donation and signing of lithographs, as well as other Rotary clubs, friends and collaborating brands (SMP, Elite Spain and Plamisa).
Due to the success of the evening, Rotary Club Barcelona Pedralbes has officially announced a second edition of the gala.
As Michael DiCarpio, President of the Rotary Club and Director of the Lucas Fox Affiliate Programme, said: “We can only say thank you 13,000 times”.
