The Vila Nova building is located in the parish of Aldoar, in Porto.
The creation of the Vila Nova building is based on a contemporary reinterpretation of the typical family unit of the 1960s. In this way, the concept of the floor-house with independent entrances is rethought, as well as the shape, metric and materiality of the constructive elements.
Thus, the building consists of two T4 fractions, each served by outdoor spaces, balconies and two parking spaces, per fraction. The central nucleus of the apartment is occupied by the stairwells that provide access to the dwellings and make the connection between its two fronts.
This fraction is organized on two floors, with the kitchen, living room and sanitary service areas located on the second floor and served by a balcony, facing the backyard of the lot, which allows the use of sun exposure to the southwest. .

On the next floor are the four bedrooms and respective bathrooms, with two of the bedrooms facing the street and the other two facing the patio and served by a shared balcony.

In this apartment, it is also possible to access and enjoy the roof of the building, facing southwest.

With regard to the materiality of the apartments, the social and circulation spaces have the floor and
baseboards in ash wood.

In the kitchens, the floor is in Lioz stone, the cupboards are lacquered and the countertop is in compact stone. In the bedrooms, the ash wood flooring and baseboards continue, and the cupboards are lacquered.

In the bathrooms, Lioz stone is used.
These materials are indicative and may be replaced by similar ones.
With regard to the constructive and operational solutions for the dwellings, frames with thermal breakage will be installed; a sanitary water heating system with a heat pump will be adopted; in the living room, there is a slate niche with a stove; the parking system will be automatic and carried out via an elevator platform; and, with regard to lighting, an indirect light solution is recommended in all
spaces, through the use of false ceilings with plasterboard and crown molding
