Calpe is a fishing village par excellence with more than 13 kilometers of coastline bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, always under the protective shadow of the Peñón de Ifach, symbol of Calpe and the Costa Blanca. The Peñón de Ifach was declared a natural park in 1987, a calcareous mass 332 meters high, rich for its vegetation and birds that it shelters.

Traditionally Calpe was an agricultural municipality, which produced almonds, raisins and carob beans, as well as a fishing village and the extraction of salt from its salt pans, which later became a tourist municipality.

The beaches of Calpe are of fine sand with very clean waters. It has historical monuments of great value, it preserves its old town and various ruins. Gastronomy brings us closer to the most maritime flavor with fish and shellfish from the area. In addition, the port maintains a lively climate with several restaurants.

The geography of the municipality allows for hiking routes to be able to enjoy its nature, since it has several parks with native animals and magnificent views.

Calpe is located on the north coast of the province of Alicante, a municipality of the Marina Alta, surrounded by the municipalities of Altea, Benidorm, Teulada-Moraira, Benissa.
