Named after the Ministry of Justice, the area was originally part of the notoriously happening Chueca neighbourhood. Justicia is also known as Salesas after its beautiful church, although many consider its standout landmark to be the Modernista Palacio de Longoria. This spectacular building is just one of the many attractions that make the area highly popular for a weekend stroll, punctuated by breaks for brunch or an aperitivo. Justicia is an assault on the senses, a very special neighbourhood of hip bars and renowned restaurants, achingly stylish boutiques and the most exclusive hotels in Madrid.

In the heart of Barcelona, Eixample offers everything from a buzzing social life and high-end retail therapy to some of the world’s most important and beautiful architecture. The iconic grid pattern of Ildefons Cerdà’s masterpiece of urban planning is a regular feature in aerial photos of famous urban landscapes for good reason. Down in the stunning streets themselves you’ll find majestic apartments with features including high ceilings, ornate Modernista floors and balconies and large inner terraces, all within easy reach of the Catalan capital’s famous boulevards, old town squares and city beaches.

Valencia

valencia

The countryside north of Valencia is home to beautiful urbanisations that bask in fresh air and spectacular scenery as well as easy access to the city and the sea. Los Monasterios is perhaps the most sought-after of these, set in the Sierra Calderona Natural Park and with spectacular sea views. This is a secure community with country clubs and the rolling hills on your doorstep, where grand villas and apartments such as the prestigious Monasterios Residences offer luxury and space in a privileged, elevated location that is extremely popular with international families thanks to the wealth of international schools and an easy commute into Valencia.

Maresme

The Maresme Coast just north of Barcelona has become a popular choice with international families looking to enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle while commuting easily into the Catalan capital. Charming towns such as Alella offer luxurious homes set on lush hillsides that overlook the sea and enjoy a unique position in the heart of one of Spain’s fast-growing and acclaimed wine regions. The coast has virtually uninterrupted beaches dotted with marinas, seaside towns and chiringuitos, the fascinating eateries that sit on the beach and provide great food, live music and views that are very hard to beat.

Sitges

This unique seaside town is relentlessly welcoming to discerning visitors looking to enjoy the perfect beaches, vibrant social scene and wealth of great bars and restaurants. The narrow streets are perfect for exploring and discovering tapas bars oozing with character, while the sweeping promenade is ideal for working up an appetite and watching the world go by. The town has some spectacular mansions overlooking the sea, while lovely homes nestle in the quieter, tree-lined streets set back from the front. There are also plenty of high quality urbanisations to choose from, including Vallpineda, whose elevated position offers space, beautiful views and excellent sports facilities – all far enough from the hubbub to provide an oasis of calm, but still just a few minutes from the town centre.

Costa Brava & Girona

costa brava

Between Barcelona and the French border lies some of the most spectacular countryside and coastline in the world. As well known for its famous son Salvador Dalí as for its hidden coves and crystal clear water, the area also a historic capital well worth exploring in the city of Girona.

Roaming Girona’s winding streets is a joy, and the river Onyar that meanders through the town adds character with its many bridges that enable visitors and lucky residents to stop and take in the view before plunging back into the endlessly fascinating narrow walkways. Properties here add a unique feel to urban living because however modern and luxurious apartments may be, they are never far from spectacular ancient buildings that make you feel part of somewhere very special.

The Costa Brava enjoys breathtaking scenery that follows a fascinating coastline that dips in and out of beautiful rocky bays and inlets, home to stunning beaches overlooked by magnificent villas with infinity pools. Nowhere offers a more iconic vision of classic Costa Brava than Aiguablava, with its fishermen’s cottages and pristine golden beaches, perfect for relaxing and entertaining as the sun sets on the glittering Mediterranean. Life in the Costa Brava is all about a relaxed pace of life, where seafood restaurants offer a very special welcome beside turquoise waters, lighthouses provide fantastic viewpoints and fishing villages and coastal towns deliver unlimited character and charm.

Marbella – Costa del Sol

marbella

The glittering reputation of the Costa del Sol sometimes overlooks the area’s exceptional potential for family living, with its perfect climate, great beaches, endless sporting facilities and excellent international schools to complement the well-documented superyacht lifestyle and top-label shopping. Recently, discerning property buyers have turned their gaze slightly further west, where the New Golden Mile has emerged in competition to the existing four-mile stretch around Puerto Banús. This new focal point has space, a relaxed approach to planning and enhanced potential to find a sizeable home close to the beach. As this trend continues, the other trappings of wealth and privilege are naturally following, from restaurants and bars to beach clubs and, yes, superyachts.

Ibiza

ibiza

The White Isle has a global reputation for its relaxed lifestyle, beautiful beaches and unrelenting dedication to partying as the sun goes down, but the views also hold the attention of residents in traditional villas and luxurious apartment blocks. Many believe that to truly enjoy Ibiza is to sip a cocktail and relax by the pool as the famous sunset unfolds before you. The area around San José and Cala Bassa beach is a focal point of the best of Ibiza, an area of beautiful villas with stunning vistas across the famous beaches on the south west of the island. The White Isle is also very compact, which means that those looking to party the night away can easily pay a visit to Ibiza Town, where the volume rises after the sun goes down.
