Argentona is a small town on the Maresme Coast, near the city of Mataró. It is famous for its porcelain water jugs, for which it has a museum and an annual festival on 4 August. It became popular with wealthy Catalan families at the beginning of the 20th Century and many built their summer residences there, meaning it has wide, tree-lined streets with large, detached houses.
The C32 motorway gives the town quick access to Barcelona and the lovely beaches of Cabrera de Mar are only a 10 minute drive away. The nearest international schools are Hamelin in Alella (20 minutes) and SEK in La Garriga (35 minutes).
