The village is located just 20km from the medieval city of Girona and 140km from Barcelona. Girona International Airport is within 40km. The ancient towns of Pals and Peratallada are both within 10km and the beautiful coves and beaches around the hilltop town of Begur just 15km away.

The Emporda region is well known for its fine wines and gastronomy. The area also offers a wide range of inland activities - including golf, horse riding, walking, mountain biking and road cycling.
