Situated up on the outskirts of the Zona Alta of Barcelona, Pedralbes is the most exclusive neighborhood in Barcelona, and one of the only neighborhoods in Barcelona where you can buy large detached luxury houses with gardens and swimming pools are available.

Comprising a few main streets of shops, bars and restaurants – primarily along Calle de Capitá Arenas down to Diagonal and Maria Cristina - the majority of Pedralbes is spread over the gentle slopes of the Collserola mountain range, often affording staggering views of the city and onto the Mediterranean.

In addition, the close proximity to the International schools of Barcelona makes Pedralbes an extremely popular area for international families looking to relocate to Barcelona.

Pedralbes houses for sale tend to be high quality new build luxury constructions with a large amount of living space and private gardens, swimming pools and garages

. It is also possible to find older houses to buy, many of which have spacious plots of land, and require modernization.

Bonanova

Situated up in the heart of the Zona Alta area of Barcelona, Bonanova is one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Barcelona.

Spreading from Plaza Bonanova at the top of Calle Muntaner, along the lovely, leafy Passieg de Bonanova to Sarria, and down to Tres Torres, Bonanova is considered by many to be the heart of the Zona Alta.

Bonanova is a primarily residential area and there are many excellent restaurants, bars and boutiques scattered throughout the neighborhood, with several on and around the popular Calle Mandri.

The close proximity to many of the best international schools and english speaking schools of Barcelona makes Bonanova property an extremely popular area for international families looking to relocate to Barcelona.

Bonanova apartments for sale and rent tend to be larger, and many have service quarters with a maid’s room and separate service entrance and elevator. Original features in properties in Bonanova are harder to come by, and some apartments require modernization.

Due to the low-rise, spacious layout of the apartment blocks, the flats tend to benefit from excellent natural light. Most apartments also have underground parking in the same or a nearby building. 

It is still possible to find private detached houses for sale in Bonanova. These are normally modernist properties dating from the turn of the last century.

Some developers have also started building state of the art luxury modern villas with gardens, car parking and private swimming pools. There are also a number of properties built in the 1960s and 1970s which require some modernization.

There are several metro stops in the Bonanova area and there are lots of bus lines in operation. By road there are easy connections to the city ring roads and to the international airport.

St Gervasi

St Gervasi is one of the largest neighborhoods in Barcelona´s Zona Alta. Stretching from Passeig de Gracia until Calle Ganduxer, along Avenida Diagonal, and above to Putxet. St Gervasi also includes Turo Park – one of Barcelona’s most sought after and exclusive areas.

Covering so much of Barcelona’s Zona Alta, St Gervasi has some of the best restaurants, nightlife and shopping in Barcelona, especially along Avenida Diagonal towards Francesc Macia, Pau Casals and around Turo Park, where some of the world’s most fashionable brands (including Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and Dior) vie for prime retail space. 

Apartments for sale and rent in St Gervasi tend to be larger, and many have service quarters with a maid’s room and separate service entrance and elevator.

Original features in properties in St Gervasi are harder to come by, and some apartments require modernization. Some apartments also have underground parking in the same or a nearby building.

Property for sale in Turo Parc is some of the most excusive real estate in Barcelona and there is a lot of competition for penthouses and apartments to buy in Turo Parc.
