It also has one of Spain's most important wild bird reserves, situated a few miles to the north of L'Escala.

The area boasts a good choice of restaurants and is famous for its excellent fish and anchovies. Ferran Adria’s ‘El Bulli’, regularly voted the best restaurant in the world, is just 30km away.

The hotel is very well connected, just 35km from Girona and its international airport, 75km from Perpignan airport in south eastern France and 120km from Barcelona airport. The brand new high speed rail link from Barcelona to the French border will stop in both Figueres and Girona, making the area yet more accessible to visitors from Spain and abroad.
